visitor info.
For visitors from out of town, we've asked our Hustle community and collected a list of things to do and places to eat around Vancouver!
Things to do.
Hustle Sessions
You're a Hustle dancer visiting Vancouver for a Hustle event...is it even a question of something to do? Make sure you visit Hustle at RS at the Victoria Drive Community Hall or Robson Square and get some social dancing in!
Seawall - Walk or Bike
When you ask a BC local for something to do while you're visiting, we can almost guarantee they will say to walk or bike along Vancouver's gorgeous seawall. The 30km (20 mile) path stretches along the ocean guaranteeing good views of the city, ocean, and natural scenery. Rent a bike or hoof it on foot for the entire thing or just a small part
Parks
Beautiful British Columbia, there's a reason why that's our slogan! We're surrounded by mountains and filled with huge parks throughout the city. If you like the outdoors and want to participate in a good hike or outdoor walk, definitely check out one of these parks!
Beaches
Being right on the ocean means we definitely have some beaches. Maybe some of the only ones in Canada -smirk-. Check them out around the evening for the sunsets. Here are some to get you started:
ZeroLatency VR & Sandbox VR
Have you heard of VR? If you haven't tried it yet, it's something worth looking into! It's a fun activity to do for an afternoon, you can get together with a group of friends and shoot zombies or fly spaceships! Check out some of these Vancouver locals:

places to eat.
Phnom Penh
Recommended by Hustle at RS community members Eliane, Brad, and Matty. Phnom Penh is a classic Vancouver favorite. They serve Vietnamese-Cambodian cuisine and have even gotten a Michelin recommendation! Make sure you try their wings!
Guu Thurlow
The restaurant "Guu" has always had a special place within the Vancouver street dance and Hustle community. Rhea and Mirka of Hustle at RS really enjoy it and we know you will too!
Sushi
Being so close to the ocean means the Vancouver sushi is always super fresh! You can't go wrong no matter where you go, but a few popular spots are:
Ramen
Vancouver has been known to have a large Japanese population, meaning our Ramen is as close to authentic as you can get in North America! Here are the Top 3 recommended spots by some Vancouver locals:
Maruhachi
Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba (There's 5 locations to choose from)
Main Street & Commercial Drive
Main Street and Commercial Drive are both roads known to have plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops lined along them. Take a walk on either one of these streets and you're bound to find something good!
Here are some links for ideas on what to look out for:

Stanley Park
When we asked the members of our Hustle community what they would recommend for people to see while visitng our city, everyone said Stanley Park. It's one of the biggest urban parks in Vancouver surrounded by the ocean. If you take the Seawall it will eventually bring you to the park!
Bloedel Conservatory
Erin and Rhea of Hustle at RS both recommended this as a place to see while visitng! The conservatory is in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Park and has gorgeous plants and birds to admire and photograph. It's truly a one of a kind attraction.
Vancouver Aquarium
Being by the ocean means lots of opportunities to study and admire the ocean. The Vancouver Aquarium offers exhibits of local and exotic sea life and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vancouver.

New Westminster Quay &
Lonsdale Quay
There are two very popular quays in the lower mainland and those would be the New Westminster Quay in New Westminster and the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. Both Quays have exquisite views and many local stores for shopping and more!
Granville Island
Not only is this where the venue of Hustle Van Jamme will be this year, it is also a small island filled with local shops, restaurants, art studios, and is surrounded by Vancouver's beautiful architecture. It also has one of the best views of downtown Vancouver. Check out the aqua bus that will take you across False Creek between Downtown Vancouver and Granville Island!
